The WhatsApp’s Chat Behind a Secret Code, also known as Locked Chats with Secret Code, is a feature that enables you to add additional cost of security to your WhatsApp conversations simply by setting an authentication code or password that’s different from your phone biometrics. This feature is currently in beta testing and is not yet available to all users.

How it works:
Lock Chats: To use this feature, you first need to lock the chat you want to protect. To do this, open the chat, tap the chat name, and then tap Lock. You will be prompted to enter a PIN or fingerprint to lock the chat.
Set Secret Code: Once a chat is locked, you can optionally set a secret code for it. To do this, go to Settings > Privacy > Locked Chats > Chat Lock Settings. Here, you can toggle the Hide Locked Chats option and enter a secret code.
Instead of using your phone biometrics such as password, face ID and fingerprint to lock chats, a different security wall – “SECRET CODE” can be laid using an optionally compitition of letters, numbers, special characters, and emojis.
Additionally, if you forget your secret code, you can always reset it using your phone’s password, fingerprint, face ID or PIN. All you need to do is navigate to Chat Lock option in your WhatsApp Settings and start all over again.
